Court Nullifies FG’s License Suspension on AIT, Raypower

A federal High court sitting in Abuja have granted an order ex-parte for the maintenance of status quo pending the determination of a motion filed by DAAR Communications in a suit challenging the action of the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC suspending its operational license.

The Presiding Judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo while ruling in his judgment on Friday, that the federal government and NBC maintain status quo ordered that the parties appear before the court on Thursday 13 of June.

   
The decision to suspend the licences of Daar Communications Plc was announced on Thursday by the Director general of NBC, Ishaq Moddibo Kawu over alleged breach of Broadcasting Code as provided in Section 10 of the Third Schedule of the NBC Act Cap N11 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
