Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have welcomed their first child as a boy which was confirmed today by the royal family.
The new baby is Queen Elizabeth’s eighth great-grandchild and the seventh in line to the British throne.
Duchess’s mother, Doria Ragland, who is overjoyed by the arrival of her first grandchild, is with Their Royal Highnesses at Frogmore Cottage.
Buckingham Palace said the baby was delivered at 5.26am and weighs 7lbs 3oz. The couple have not yet chosen a name for their son.
The beaming Prince said: “I’m very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy earlier this morning, a very healthy boy. Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined.
