Adamu Mohammed Confirmed As Inspector General Of Police

President Muhammadu Buhari have on Thursday while presiding over the police  Council meeting at the state house in Abuja confirmed the appointment of Adamu Mohammed as the substantive Inspector General of Police (IGP).

The news of the confirmation of the new IGP was contained in a message on the official twitter handle of Buhari’s aide on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, Adamu @BashirAhmaad.

Mohammed was appointed in the acting capacity on 15 of January to succeed the former IGP, Ibrahim Idris following his retirement from service at the age of 60.
